Public Transport

The school is on or close to a range of Network West Midlands Bus routes.

By the end of 2024 we should also have trains stopping just next to the school at the 'new' Pineapple Road station as part of the reintroduced Camp Hill train line, to connect us to Birmingham New Street.

Active Travel

We have a lovely, covered bike shed in the playground that is available to staff and pupils. (It is sensible to bring a lock, although there have been no reported thefts to date.)

There are increasing numbers of local cycle lanes, and safer routes provided by the LTNs in Kings Heath, as well as routes through the local parks. We'd encourage those using the roads to do a Bikeability course (available across Birmingham).

If cycling, please do so with care and courtesy towards others, especially pedestrians. e.g. when using the school driveway.

Remember you will need lights during the winter months and should not be riding on the public pavements. While not a legal requirement, it is sensible to wear high-visability clothing and to wear a helmet.

By Car

Please do not drive onto the school site (including the area in front of the gates) to drop off or pick up your child at the start and end of the school day.

The maps below, show a 5 and 10 minute walking area from school - one from the Vicarage Road entrance and one from the Cartland Road entrance. When dropping off or picking up students we'd encourage you to park outside this area to avoid congestion around the school and for the benefit of local residents. Please also consider the option of car sharing in order to reduce the traffic on our local roads and the pollution it causes.

There is a local LTN (Low Traffic Neighbourhood) to the north and east of the school, meaning that several local roads are not passable to motor traffic. There are further restrictions due to be introduced in September 2024 on the east side of Kings Heath High Street.
