Life in the Sixth Form
Life in the Sixth Form
Everyday routines in Camp Hill Sixth Form differ quite considerably from what students will have experienced up to Year 11 – free time can now be spent in the new Sixth Form Block, opened in 2019. With the adjustment to only three or four subjects, pupils will find themselves with scheduled ‘frees’ between lessons, which are perfect opportunities to use our new communal areas to work or relax. Options like chess, table football and pool are available during both lunchtimes and afternoon free periods. Students are also able to sign out after 12:35, once they’ve finished their last lesson of the day, which can often help avoid the peak times on buses and trains. Opportunities like clubs are in no way diminished come Year 12, with everything from Medical Society to Debating Society led by the students themselves. Support is always near at hand, with the Head of Sixth Form, Heads of Year and Sixth Form Mentor based in the building, along with teachers who supervise during lunch and break. Food is served in the new Sixth Form canteen at break and lunchtime, offering a range of hot and cold products.
